If there’s a saving grace to Greatest American Dog, it’s the dogs themselves. They are charmers that steal the show and warm even the most cynical critic’s heart.
The inside scoop? Tillman, the bulldog, really is a farter. And Preston, the white Pomeranian with the red stripe on his head, is a moocher whose stare can instantly hypnotize you into gladly giving up any piece of food in your hand.

Here’s what you need to know about last night’s episode:
• Travis and Laura are “getting to know each other.” They love each other’s dogs. And, I’m just guessing here, they also kinda like how each other looks in swimwear while swimming with those dogs. They both seem sane, so I’m still in favor of the match. You?
SO WHAT DO THE FANS THINK ABOUT THE GREATEST AMERICAN DOG CAST?!
Hottest girl: Laura
Hottest dog: Kenji - Giant Schnauzer. I already love this breed but I’ve never seen one this big! Pretty awesome.
Man most likely to be the gay’s favorite hottie but will be straight: Michael
Man most likely to be gay: David. Yeah I just blew your mind right? Did the lavender sweater low cut shirt combo give it away?
Best dog name: Galaxy
Best overall dog/human combo: Laura film producer, and Preston the Wonder Punk
Best candidate for American voting: Ron and his dog TILLMAN as in Pat Tillman? War hero? Exactly.
Most likely to surprise and go very far, possible final 3: J.D. and Galaxy
Unexpected fan favorite we ignored then came to love: Teresa & Leroy
First eliminated: Beth Joy - Her 10 year old dog is bad enough. The dog is a serious mutt too. Chihuahua, Labrador Retriever, Shih-Tzu, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and Pomeranian mix. Wow talk about your international doggie gangbang here. On top of that, it can barely step on it’s hind legs and looks pretty weak. You know big dogs will be favored too because they are cooler. Beth Joy’s hair is awful too. BYE!
Winner: Travis - The fucking mactor always wins.. damnit.

So mom and I were enjoying a nice relaxing day @ The Grove with my rock star friend Rosi, and the pawparazzi came to say hello, after snapping shots of Katie Holmes and Suri @ The American Girl store… what a crazy day! Everyone was super nice though, and it was fun taking pictures with my new friends…

NEW YORK (AP) – CBS got a paw up on its competition with the debut of “Greatest American Dog” helping the network to a midsummer ratings victory.
The new competition was the sixth-most popular show on prime-time television last week, with 9.5 million viewers, Nielsen Media Research reported Tuesday. There was no measurement of canine interest.

This week, working in groups of four (or eight), the owners had to come up with a skit that would showcase their dogs’ basic skills (e.g. sit, play dead, pirouette, skateboard). Some rose to the challenge — like film producer Laura and her mohawk-rockin’ Pomeranian, Preston, from Team Aloha, which did an Hawaiian theme.

As for my early favorites, I’d say they are Preston and Tillman. (Tillman won me over when he refused to keep playing musical chairs; Preston’s owner, Laura, got me when she brought David and his beloved Parson Russell Terrier, Elvis, some blankets in the Dog House.)
