NEW YORK, NY (September 15, 2008)—The Amazing New York Race, an urban scavenger hunt modeled after the popular CBS television reality TV program, will unveil its first-ever dog friendly version this Sunday, September 21 to be held in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park.
For the last xxxx years, some xxxx Amazing New York Race entrants have chased through city streets, searched for clues, navigated obstacle courses, and completed other tasks—all in the name of fun and competition. In lieu of racing around the world, participants cruise through the New York City boroughs and use the subway and their feet as a means to victory. Now, competitors and their canine partners will take part in a new offering of the Amazing New York Race staged exclusively in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park. Teams will be comprised of a minimum of two dogs and two individuals. The race is open to individuals and dogs of all ages and abilities. And, single entrants (one human and dog) are welcome to participate and will be matched with an appropriate partner on site. (more…)
