Preston captured his future momma’s heart, the moment she captured this look on her camera phone.  It was Preston’s happy “smile” that inspired Laura to adopt the runt of the litter, after meeting dozens of potential puppies.  She and Preston became inseparable, never imagining the positive impact their relationship would one day have on others.

Today, Preston Casanova is one of the world’s most “famous” dogs, revered internationally for his brain, good looks, and of course, irresistible charm.  The 42 year old man -which makes him 6 in dog years- is often mistaken for a Pomasaurus Rex or Albino Teacup Lion (depending on his haircut!) but Preston is actually a white, pure-bred pomeranian.

Preston was raised on set by his actress momma, Laura Nativo, who taught him everything he knows.  A natural in front of the camera, Preston booked his first movie at 8 weeks.  He soon became a professional doggie actor/model, who loved performing wherever he could find an audience.

Today, Preston understands approximately 100 words and phrases in English, y un poquito en Espanol.  Favorites include: cry, speak, growl, sneeze, dance, roll over, dig, catch, fetch, wave hello, hit a mark, give hugs, kisses and strike a pose.  He’s even learned to play the piano, ride a skateboard, and surf!

After starring in CBS’ Greatest American Dog, Preston has embarked on a mission to make the world a happier, healthier place for dogs and their humans., with the launch of his website, PrestonsPlanet.com, and internet show, Preston’s Planet L!VE.  And after 6 fun-filled years of honing his craft and pounding the grass, Mr. Casanova is ecstatic to be following in the footsteps of his idol, Lassie… soon starring in his own self-titled feature film!  Laura & Preston also have several tv shows in development which they hope will get picked up by Animal Planet or Travel Channel.

Often featured on the news, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, E!News, TMZ and even international tv networks, Preston has a powerful reach in both the canine and celebrity world.  Preston loves to use his attention for the good of others.  He feels honored to be involved with a number of wonderful organizations that benefit animal, environmental, cancer research and other causes he and his mom are passionate about.  Preston and Laura also have launched a grassroots initiative to help animal owners provide a better lifestyle for their loved ones by encouraging businesses to allow incredibly behaved canines greater public access.

The only thing Preston loves more than turning tricks for “num nums”… is cuddling with momma, and being the source of a smile, as a certified therapy dog.  As founder of The Pawtastics, he dreams of a day when all dogs are well-loved, well-behaved enough to qualify for animal-assisted therapy work… and all humans realize the importance giving back, to others, as well as animals.

Preston can be seen currently in the new special, “Insanely Pampered Hollywood Dogs” airing all summer on E!  He is also the cover model/story of the August 2009 edition of Animal Wellness Magazine, and was featured in the spring 2009 edition of American Dog Magazine.  As the national spokesdog for Natura Pet Products, he is proud to star in his own internet series “The Adventures of Laura & Preston” at www.TryTheBest.com.  Mom couldn’t be more proud!
